A measuring tool to analyse the physical driving ability of a person. This driving test station is particularly important in organisations, such as hospitals, in order to ensure that victims of accidents or diseases who may have acquired some injury that may have affected the upper or lower members, have the ability to return or start driving, with the appropriate changes in the vehicle.
DTS is not a simulator
Is a measurement tool to perform qualified tests of a person's physical driving ability. It is used to test basic functions such as steering, acceleration and braking to ensure that the driver is able to drive a vehicle in complete safety.
By using the reports generated by DTS, we will have access to analysis based on objective facts and in a context very similar to reality, offering support in the case of difficult decisions that would otherwise be complicated to justify without an objective basis. Even if some of the measured values are low, this does not necessarily mean that the person tested is not fit to drive a car.
The big challenge in adapting a vehicle is to find a way to allow a person to drive even with their physical limitations. To achieve this, the DTS is equipped with various intelligent solutions, all designed to create a driving environment adapted to the needs of each driver. It is important to note that the DTS does not provide any information that the person being tested has the mental and cognitive qualities required of a driver.
Even with a positive physical result, we always recommend that the driver practises driving with a qualified driving instructor.
