Developed for a purpose
You might ask why you can't use the original car seat. Well, the simple answer is that the original seat was not designed to rotate out of the car and would most likely get jammed doing so. The seats marketed by TotalMobility are designed to be efficient in terms of space to run, while retaining the maximum comfort possible. In addition, when adapting a vehicle is often necessary to adapt also the seat so that it can give the intended user the best possible support and positioning.
It should be noted that seat adaptations are not only for the user's comfort, but also for their safety.
For example, preventing the user from sliding down in the seat and ending up in a position where the function of the seat belt is compromised. Original seats are not usually customisable, at least not as obviously as our seats. All the seats on this page have been tested and approved for use in combination with approved and compatible mobility products.
BEV Seat
Low configuration ergonomic seat, specially designed for easy adaptation. The BEV seat is designed to be fitted in combination with Turny or Turnout swivel seats when space is at a premium. The BEV seat has another big advantage in that the flat sides of the cushion have easy-sliding padding, perfectly adapted for transfers to and from a wheelchair.
The cushions on the backrest and base are removable, under which a variety of extras, such as trunk or lumbar supports, can be fitted. The cushions are easily removed from their Velcro fastenings for cleaning or replacement. There are also some handy accessories that further adapt the use of the seat by those with needs and wishes.
BEV Kids
The BEV seat is also available in a kids version, for children who need a shorter cushion or who have other specific needs, such as a lower headrest.
Compact Seat
Economy seat with low configuration. The Compact seat is a safe and economical alternative to other more configured and feature car seats, designed to merge with the vehicle's interior. The optional Plus kit raises the front of the seat, which increases seat comfort and helps prevent users from sliding forward. We highly recommend this kit in all compact seat installations.
Recaro seat
Comfortable and ergonomic seat. The Recaro seat is a premium seat with a bucket type seat cushion. The seat extensions together with the strong backrest bolsters ensure a comfortable and ergonomically correct driving position with excellent support for the lower limbs.
GS Seat
Highly adaptable seat for children and short people. On the GS seat, almost everything can be adjusted individually, for example the seat depth and the position of each armrest in all three dimensions. The GS seat also has a vast number of accessories that will help further adapt the seat to the user's specific needs.
Designed with the growing child in mind, the GS Seat can be adjusted to provide a comfortable and safe seat.
BIS seat
A seat with an integrated three-point seat belt. The BIS seat is part of a kit solution consisting of the Turny Evo and a vehicle-specific mounting bracket. This kit is designed for installation in the second row of seats.
With an integrated seat belt, when you move Turny Evo, forward or backward, the belt moves with you, always maintaining that perfect seat belt geometry. This is important because wearing the seat belt correctly could save your life in the event of a collision. That's why children use a booster cushion until they are big enough to get the right seat belt geometry by themselves.
Also, the safety belt is close enough to reach when you are seated. A seat belt connected to the C-pillar in a van, can be difficult if not impossible to reach when sitting. Especially if rotating your upper body is painful or difficult.
As with all our seats, BIS is approved to give you the best protection in the event of an accident. Please note that the BIS seat is currently only compatible with the Turny Evo. The BIS seat is a fully functional and comfortable car seat, allowing installation on both the left and right side. It has functions such as an adjustable reclining backrest. The backrest can also be folded forward over the seat cushion and can also be fitted with armrests if desired.
